Description

A Block Production Operator works as part of the mushroom grow block production team. This team is responsible for the inoculation of the grow blocks; filling, recording, and transporting 10-lb bags from the lab to the incubating chambers. This function is a critical component of the mushroom growing process. An inoculation specialist will: use clean-room techniques to inoculate blocks, move wheeled carts, place labels on bags and, clean up the lab area, where most of the processing takes place.

 

Requirements

• No previous experience required, but must be willing to learn on the job

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a hot, humid environment
